RE Single Storey Rear Extension, Olney
This was the first building work that we have had done so we were quite concerned that it would be a difficult task to find a good builder and we had been putting it off for over a year. You read and hear of so many stories about unreliable builders but this was definitely not the case with G. Cunningham and Son.
We heard about G. Cunningham and Son from a friend of Vicki’s sister who had recently had an extension built by them and was very happy with their work. Gary and Riki came round to have a look at the work we wanted done and came back to us with a competitive quote within 2 or 3 days.
The team that Riki used to build the extension were all very efficient and very tidy, each completing their work on time. We have received several comments from our neighbours about how impressed they were with our builders, and how friendly, polite and tidy they were. Riki was very approachable, so any questions we had he was more than happy to discuss and if there were things that we thought needed to be incorporated he would accommodate them. Riki was also very good at suggesting things that would improve the building that we had not thought of. One example was that he suggested we should have stone window sills to blend in with the rest of the house where we assumed they would be the usual white uPVC ones. We live in a Victorian terraced house and Riki also made sure the new brickwork and slates matched the existing materials.
Riki Cunningham proved that there really are good builders out there who have pride in their work as well as caring about their customers. The extension was completed on time, just under the six weeks quoted and we were given a fixed price, which Riki stuck to. The only additional costs were some extra work that we decided that we wanted done.
Riki has built an excellent extension on time, on budget and with no problems. We would be more than happy to recommend G. Cunningham and Son to anyone who is considering having any building work done.
